THE HEAVENS DECLARE

Dr F.J.Steed PhD

Ps. 115:16" The heavens are the heavens of YHWH; But the earth hath he given to the children of men." The Earth has He made for the children of men. When YHWH set man on the planet Earth along with all the other forms of life, He enabled the Sun, Moon and Stars to shed their light upon the Earth. This light was not only for light for the Earth but as we read in Gen 1:14 "And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the expanse of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years: 15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And Elohim made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And Elohim set them in the expanse of heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and Elohim saw that it was good. 19 And there was dusk and there was dawn, a fourth day." The Sun gives us the day, and the year, the Moon the seasons. Ps 104:19 "He appointed the moon for seasons: The sun knows his going down."

The canopy of the Heavens, the Stars, were divided into twelve [12] signs by the Ancient Patriarchs before the Flood. Ps. 19. States, "The heavens declare the Splendour of Elohim; and the firmament shows his handiwork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night shows knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world." As the psalm states, all people are able to see the message in the sky. The passage of the Sun - The Sun passes through the heavens in its circuit, we revolve around the Sun, each revolution we call a year, and as we pass through we see various groups of stars. The steps we take over the year are called signs, these signs are called the Zodiac. As we read in the first six verses of the 19th psalm, the heavens Declare, or prophecy, or give Revelation of the the Splendour of YHWH and His plans for mankind upon the Earth.

Verses 7-14, Tells us of another book which gives Revelations of Salvation from Sin. The Zodiac, signs, or stations which gave a message of the one who was to come to save Mankind from the clutch of the Enemy the Old Devil.

The pagan astrology has distorted the wonderful story put into the sky by the ancient fathers before the flood.

The 12 signs are the months of travel each year around the sun.

Here we have the months of the year or the path through which we travel in the heavens. The starting point for the year is the sign Aries, this is where the the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere comes or did come 2000 years ago. Now because of the precession of the equinoxes, each constellation is in the sign next following its own. 'For right ascension the starting point is the point occupied by the sun at the march equinox, there is no star at the place, called the first point of Aries.... "Elementary Astronomy Page 6, Sydney Observatory. The starting point for the year, that is the first month of the year, has it's beginning with the first visible new moon after the vernal equinox. March - April, or in the Hebrew calendar, the month Abib.

Look at the twelve stars, of Joseph's dream in Gen 37:9 "And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brothers and said, Behold, I have dreamed yet a dream: and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to me. 10 And he told it to his father, and to his brothers; and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow down ourselves to you to the earth?" See also Rev 12;1" And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars;"

The message that is given in the heavens - declare -Heb.5608. caphar, saw-far'; a prim. root; prop. to score with a mark as a tally or record, i.e. (by impl.) to inscribe, and also to enumerate; intens. to recount, i.e. celebrate:--commune, (ac-) count, declare. They tell a story without words, 3 " There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard." As the stars were named, they were named so that as one gazed at the sky throughout the year the message of the coming Redeemer would be conveyed to them, and on down through the coming generations. "And night unto night shows knowledge." So the stars are for "signs" to point the way, to teach of the plan of salvation of man, not only in the day time but "night unto night". In the 1st month Abib the feast of the Passover is the focal point where the lamb or ram is the main feature or central figure of the month, this is looking forward to the coming of the one who is to give His life as a substitute for the sinner, the blood or life of the lamb to cover the sinner. Aries - The 3rd month Sivan, with it's sign of twins or double, is the feast of Pentecost or weeks, where we have the offering of [2] two wheat loaves, the two loaves of the new harvest. In the sky the constellation of Gemini has as the brightest star Apollo= Ruler or Judge. The 7th month Tishri, feast of Trumpets, Taking the Realm over, see Rev 11:15. The day of Atonement, with the separation of righteous and wicked, the Balances - casting the lots over the goats, The harvest taken, sorting out of the proceeds. The separation of good and evil. These are yearly feasts that depict the story of redemption as seen in the sky and given signs to tell of the things to come. There is a much larger story told as is shown in the notes of Mr Bullinger, here we see just the outline of the twelve signs and their messages. He points out that each star carries a name that tells of the Redeemers work. The signs in the sky tell us of history and prophecy. Beside these we are told that the sun, moon and stars are to give us seasons, or cycles of time. We have the day, month, year, and the cycles of the stars that give us measurements of time, and then the large cycle of the Precession of the Equinoxes.

Dr. Bullinger gives us some material on the zodiac, with outlines of the groups of stars and their names, and meanings. Below you will see the story of Redemption- spelled out in it's various faces. If you have the Companion Bible look in the helps No.12 for details.

"First Book. The Redeemer. (His First coming).

Second Book. The Redeemed. (His work and its results).

Third Book. The Redeemer. (His Second Coming.)

Each of the four chapters in each of these three Books consists of three sections; and each section is re presented by a Constellation. There are thus thirty six (3 X 12) Constellations, which, with the twelve Signs, Make forty-eight (4x12) in all."
